Having recently had bi fold doors fitted the client wanted to improve the access to the garden and reduce the visual impact of the existing terrace. A classic modern style garden was created by providing 'floating' steps'. A stainless steel frame supports beautiful warm York stone treads. These lead onto a lovely rich toned hardwood deck, framed by yorkstone steps that wrap around the terrace providing lots of informal seating for entertaining or late summer evenings. A small patio either side of the terrace provide adaptable areas for a barbecue and seating. Planting either side of the steps enhance their lightness and provide movement, texture and colour, whilst softening the house facade.
