Plymouth town house, small garden
The challenge for this Plymouth yard was to provide a usable outside space to enjoy, that contained some grass and lush planting in a pretty bijou space.
The garden is divided up into three areas defined by texture. This creates the illusion of space. Opposite the kitchen window and viewed from the lounge the raised planter creates a focal point and provides informal seating. Next to this a patio provides an area for a table and chairs. A gravel transition area provides visual interest and texture. Large pots with trees screen the garage wall, provide vertical interest and movement and lead out onto the lawn.
